Nissan Grand Livina 1.6L A/T Has Very Low FC
During CNY, my sister drove her new Nissan Grand Livina 1.6L A/T back to Alor Star. She told me that this new MPV has a very low fuel consumption. IÂ was very suprised!
She filled up RM 46 and can go about 380 km! So tat means, the car is giving a value of RM 0.12 /km from the calculations. This is indeed very good. It almost can catch up my Kenari which I always thought is the best fuel consumption car that I ever had. My Kenari can give me around RM 0.09 - 0.10 /km.
She cruised her new GL along North-South highway at an average speed of 130 - 140 km/h. At the speed of 130 km/h, the RPM readings was 2500 rpm/s. Wau !! This is incredible low. Even my Suzuki Swift can’t give me this value at the speed of 130 km/h.

The moment she pressed the pedal, the MPV accelerated to 130 km/h with RPM readings of 3000 rpm/s. Then in a few seconds, the RPM dropped to 2500 rpm/s at the speed of 130 km/h. The car seems like having a 5th gear ! (just my guess).
The 1.6 HR16DE Engine is performing very well. It is built by aluminium which I heard that this material can dispense heat very quickly. Thus, it can save more fuel.
This new GL is a very good buy if you consider to have a MPV with very good FC.
